Area 91

The Area 91 Archives Committee is comprised of the Archives Chair elected at the usual Area 91 elections assembly. Saskatchewan Area 91's archives are kept in a former bank vault in the city of Saskatoon. From here portable Archive displays serving the entire province are available for display at roundups, Area Assemblies, or workshops.

Like any other AA service work, the primary purpose of those involved with archival work is to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Area 91 archives service work is much more than mere custodial activity; it is the means by which Area 91 collects, preserves and shares the rich and meaningful heritage of our fellowship pertaining to Area 91. It is by the collection and sharing of these important historical elements that our gratitude is strengthened.

The scope of the Area 91 Archives is to provide a sense of its own past to the membership and to keep accurate records so that myth does not predominate over fact.
